I had the most wonderful time at Anthill when I was a young actor. It was an environment where you could simply work and do your job while I was there. I say this because it was a small group consisting of the core of only a few people.
My entry into this world was through the arms of an angel via Jean-Marc Dupre (Theatre of the Instant) and Tobsha Learner and Douglas Mason. Fresh out of NIDA after only a year of the acting course I landed in Adelaide living in a share house and working on a production of Ball Boys a one act play by David Edgar from 1979. Doug Mason and I were doing it at the Red Shed for the Adelaide Fringe Festival 1984.
